Hello Coach [Smith],

My name is Zoe Ruff.  I’m a basketball player at Mountain Ridge High School in Glendale, AZ.  I’m a 4-year varsity player at a large (Division 1) high school.  I’m going into my senior year after being a starter and team captain on my high school team this past year.  My elite club team is traveling on the west coast during the month of July and I’m hoping you will come and see me play.

I picked your school as someplace I’d like to play because I want to study pharmacy after I finish undergraduate studies.  [School Name] has a pre-pharmacy or pre-professional track that should help me get accepted into pharmacy school as a graduate student.

More about me as a basketball player:

I’m a versatile, hard-playing 5-8 guard/forward who can do anything.  I’m a great teammate because I like to do whatever it takes to contribute.  I can handle the ball, drive, score, pass, rebound, and defend.  I’ve won over 75% of jump balls since adding this skill.  I frequently guard the other team’s best player.  You can check out my highlight videos on my youtube channel at http://www.youtube.com/ZoeRuff21.
